Our glutathione drip in Khao Lak is a hydrating beauty drip given in your hotel room, villa or home by a registered nurse who stays with you throughout. Guests often book it before a wedding, a photo shoot or the last days of a holiday, when sun, salt water and late nights have left them feeling a little dull. We will be straightforward with you: the evidence for glutathione and skin is limited, so think of this as a relaxing, hydrating treat rather than a skin treatment with promised results.
Who this beauty drip is for
Holiday skin goes through a lot: strong sun, chlorine, sea water, air conditioning and not quite enough water. This beauty drip in Khao Lak may suit you if:

- You want to feel refreshed and well hydrated before a wedding, party or special dinner
- You are part of a bridal party or villa group and would like a drip together
- You feel tired and dried out after several days in the sun
- You enjoy wellness treatments and like the idea of an hour of quiet rest in your room
- You understand that results vary and the evidence is still limited
Glutathione is widely marketed in Asia for changing skin tone. We don’t offer this drip for that purpose and we make no claims about lightening skin. If that is what you are looking for, this drip isn’t for you.
What’s in the glutathione drip
Glow drips like this commonly contain the ingredients below. The nurse will explain exactly what goes into your drip, and ask your consent, before it starts.

- IV fluids with electrolytes – a sterile salt-and-water solution. Being well hydrated is good for how you feel overall, and fluids into a vein may help you feel rehydrated faster after time in the heat.
- Glutathione – an antioxidant your body makes naturally from amino acids. It plays a part in protecting cells from everyday wear and tear. It is a popular ingredient in beauty drips, though how much extra glutathione from a drip actually does for skin is not well established.
- Vitamin C – a water-soluble vitamin the body needs to make collagen, a protein found in skin. It is often added to beauty drips alongside glutathione.
- B-complex vitamins – vitamins involved in turning food into energy, common in wellness drips.
What the evidence says about glutathione IV in Khao Lak and beyond
A 2019 systematic review of glutathione and skin, by researchers at Naresuan University in Thailand, found only four suitable studies in healthy volunteers. Three of them used glutathione taken by mouth and one used a cream. None looked at a drip. The authors concluded that the evidence was still inconclusive, because of the quality of the studies and their mixed findings, and they noted some minor side effects.

So when you read about glutathione IV in Khao Lak or anywhere else, be cautious of bold promises. A drip like this may leave you feeling refreshed and well hydrated, but no one can honestly promise a visible change in your skin. Sun protection, sleep, water and a good moisturiser remain the most reliable ways to look after your skin on holiday.
How it works
- You book. Use the booking form or the contact links and tell us where you are staying. We visit Bang Niang, Nang Thong, Khuk Khak, Pakarang Cape, Bang Sak, Khao Lak Lamru and Takua Pa. Message us to check availability and arrival time.
- Health screening. The registered nurse asks about your health, medication, allergies and pregnancy, and checks your vital signs before every drip.
- The drip. A small cannula goes into your arm using sterile, single-use equipment. Put your feet up, listen to music or chat with friends. The nurse stays with you throughout and can tell you how long your drip is likely to take.
- Aftercare. The nurse removes the cannula and checks you over. Keep drinking water, wear sunscreen and give the drip site a day to settle before swimming if the nurse advises it.

For a wedding, it is usually best to book a day or two before rather than on the morning itself, so there is no rush and any small bruise has time to fade.

Who shouldn’t have this drip
A beauty drip is optional, so we are especially careful about who has one. The nurse may decline or postpone your drip if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a heart condition, kidney disease or high blood pressure, or have been told to limit fluids or salt
- Have asthma or a history of allergic reactions, or allergies to any ingredient
- Take regular medication, including for heart, kidney or skin conditions
- Are having cancer treatment, as antioxidants should only be taken with your specialist’s agreement
- Feel unwell, have a fever or have sunburn bad enough to make you feel ill
When to see a doctor instead. Severe sunburn with blistering, fever, chills or feeling faint needs a doctor rather than a beauty drip. A new rash, a mole that has changed, or a skin problem that won’t settle should be checked by a doctor or dermatologist. Call 1669 or go to hospital if you have swelling of the face, lips or tongue, difficulty breathing or chest pain.
Glutathione drip Khao Lak FAQs
Will a skin glow drip in Khao Lak change my skin?
We can’t promise that it will. Some people say they feel fresher and better hydrated afterwards, but research on glutathione and skin is limited and inconclusive. Think of it as a relaxing, hydrating treat.
Do you offer glutathione for lightening skin?
No. We don’t offer drips to change skin colour and we make no claims of that kind. Our glow drip is about hydration and feeling refreshed.
Can the whole bridal party have one?
Yes. Tell us how many guests when you book. Everyone has their own health screening first, and we plan the visit so nobody is rushed on a busy day.
Can I go in the sun after the drip?
Yes, but use high-factor sunscreen, wear a hat and avoid the strongest midday sun. Sun protection does more for your skin than any drip.
