Short answer: how much is an IV drip in Thailand? Published prices we found at the time of writing start at around ฿1,300–1,500 for a basic drip at a clinic in Bangkok or Phuket, with most specialised drips at about ฿3,000–5,000, with premium drips such as NAD+ costing considerably more. Hotel and villa visits usually cost more than walking into a clinic, because a nurse travels to you and stays for the whole drip.
Below, we compare typical published prices in Bangkok, Phuket and Khao Lak, explain what drives the price up or down, and list the questions worth asking before you pay for any drip. All third-party figures are prices that providers published on their own websites when we checked in October 2026. Prices change, so treat them as a guide rather than a quote.

IV drip cost in Bangkok
Bangkok has the widest choice and the widest price spread, from small aesthetic clinics to large private hospitals. In its guide to vitamin IV drip costs in Bangkok, WellMed Bangkok says basic drips start at around ฿1,299 and specialised drips usually range between ฿3,000 and ฿5,000. The same article mentions hospital packages starting from ฿7,900, and notes that at-home service costs extra compared with treatment in a clinic.

At the doctor-led end, Healthi Life Bangkok’s IV drip page lists its standard drips at ฿4,500, with a physician consultation and a body-composition scan included, and NAD+ drips starting at ฿6,000.
The pattern is clear: competition keeps entry-level clinic prices low in Bangkok, but you often travel to the clinic yourself, and the cheapest options tend to be simpler formulas.
IV drip cost in Phuket vs Khao Lak
Phuket

Phuket has many clinics and several mobile services aimed at holidaymakers. Phuket Medical Clinic gives a range of approximately ฿1,500 to ฿10,000 per session and says it also offers home and hotel visits. Among the mobile services, IV Drip Phuket at Home lists drips from ฿2,500 with a home, hotel and villa service, and IV Drip Therapy Phuket lists its menu at ฿2,900–3,500, with a mobile service charge that depends on your location.
Khao Lak
Khao Lak is smaller and quieter than Phuket, with fewer providers, and we couldn’t find enough published prices from other Khao Lak providers to give a fair, verifiable range. So rather than guess, we would simply ask you to message us for current prices for a nurse’s visit to your hotel room, villa or home. You can see every treatment we offer on our Khao Lak IV drip price list.
If you are comparing the IV drip cost in Phuket vs Khao Lak, remember to compare like with like: a drip in a Phuket clinic plus a taxi there and back is a different product from a nurse who comes to your room in Bang Niang or Khuk Khak and stays with you.
What drives the price of an IV drip
Two drips with similar names can cost very different amounts. These are the main reasons.
Ingredients and volume
A bag of fluid with electrolytes is the simplest and least expensive drip. Adding vitamins, anti-nausea or pain-relief medicines, or specialist ingredients raises the cost. NAD+ is among the most expensive ingredients and often takes much longer to give, which is why it usually sits at the top of any price list. The size of the bag matters too.
Who gives the drip: nurse or doctor
Some clinics include a consultation with a doctor in the price; others have a nurse place the drip under a doctor’s protocols. A doctor’s consultation tends to add to the price. What matters most is that a qualified professional screens you first and stays with you while the drip runs. Our drips are given by registered nurses, with a health screening before every drip, and the nurse stays the whole time.
Clinic visit or hotel visit
A hotel or villa visit means a nurse’s travel time, a car or scooter, and one nurse dedicated to you for the length of the drip. That is why mobile services are often priced higher than walk-in clinics, or add a call-out fee. When you compare, check whether the visit is included or charged on top.
Location and demand
Prices can be higher in busy tourist areas and at premium resorts. Smaller destinations have fewer providers, and nurses may need to travel further between visits.
Groups and packages
Many providers offer lower prices for groups or for several sessions. If several of you are booking together, it is worth asking about group rates. With us, just message us with the number of guests and we will let you know the current price.
Questions to ask before you pay
A low headline price is only good value if the care behind it is sound. Wherever you book, it is reasonable to ask:

- Who will give the drip, and are they a registered nurse or doctor?
- Will someone check my health, medication and allergies before starting?
- Does the nurse stay for the whole drip, or leave it running?
- Is all the equipment sterile and single-use?
- What exactly is in the bag, and how much of each ingredient?
- Is the hotel visit included, or is there a call-out or service charge?
- How do I pay, and is there a card surcharge?
Be wary of any provider that promises a drip will cure illness, flush out toxins or deliver results that sound too good to be true. That isn’t how IV therapy works, and it is a sign the provider is selling hype rather than care.
Is an IV drip worth the money?
It depends on what you need. For mild thirst, water and an oral rehydration drink cost very little and work well. A drip may be worth it when you feel too sick to drink, want to rehydrate quickly after a long day in the heat, or simply want to rest in your room while a nurse looks after you. If you are healthy and drinking well, you probably don’t need one, and a good provider will tell you that.

Check your travel insurance as well. Wellness drips are usually not covered, but medical treatment for illness may be. Ask your insurer before you book, and ask the provider what paperwork they can give you.
When to see a doctor instead
Cost should never be the reason you choose a drip over proper medical care. See a doctor or go to hospital rather than booking a drip if you are pregnant, have a heart or kidney condition, take regular medication and haven’t checked with your doctor, or have severe or worsening symptoms such as persistent vomiting, a high fever, chest pain, confusion or fainting. In an emergency in Thailand, call 1669.
FAQs about IV drip prices in Thailand
Why is an IV drip cheaper in Bangkok than at my hotel?
Bangkok clinics have lots of competition and you travel to them. A hotel visit includes the nurse’s travel and their time with you for the whole drip, so it usually costs more. Some Bangkok clinics also charge extra for at-home visits.
Is there a call-out fee in Khao Lak?
Message us for the current price, and we will confirm the full cost of a visit before you book. Our service area covers Bang Niang, Nang Thong, Khuk Khak, Pakarang Cape, Bang Sak, Khao Lak Lamru and Takua Pa.
How do I pay for an IV drip in Thailand?
Methods vary by provider. Cash in Thai baht and Thai QR payments are common. Whoever you book with, ask how you can pay and whether there is a card surcharge before the visit, and message us to check the payment options for our service.
Are cheaper drips less safe?
Not necessarily. A simple hydration drip is cheaper because it contains less. Safety comes from screening, sterile single-use equipment and a qualified professional staying with you, so ask about those rather than judging by price alone.
